1. Jude Douglass — Sea to Sky Officiant (SEND FIRST)
Subject: Officiant partnership — Adventure Weddings expanding to Squamish
Hi Jude,
I’m Aaron, and I run Adventure Weddings alongside my partner Lana. We’re an adventure elopement company expanding from Queenstown, New Zealand to Squamish, BC.
Lana is our lead photographer and is working toward her officiant licensing in BC through CIMM. While that processes, we’re looking for an experienced local officiant to partner with for our first Squamish elopement bookings.
I came across your work at Sea to Sky Officiant and your experience is exactly what we need — over a decade of ceremonies in the corridor, elopement-specific packages, and a deep understanding of outdoor ceremonies in this landscape.
What I’d propose:
- You’d officiate ceremonies for our adventure elopement couples at a per-ceremony fee ($300-500, happy to discuss what works for you)
- Lana handles all photography, ceremony design, and client communication — you’d show up, deliver the ceremony, sign the paperwork
- We’d refer couples who need officiant-only services your way
- This would be an interim partnership (6-12 months) while Lana completes her licensing
We’re targeting 6-10 Squamish elopements in our first year, with most happening June through September on weekends.
Would you be open to grabbing a coffee to talk through how this could work? I’m based in Squamish so very easy to meet up.
Cheers, Aaron Adventure Weddings | adventureweddings.love [PHONE NUMBER]
2. Natacha Trottier — HMUA + Officiant
Subject: Styled adventure elopement shoot in Squamish — collaboration?
Hi Natacha,
I’m Aaron, and I run Adventure Weddings alongside my partner Lana. We’re an adventure elopement company expanding from Queenstown, New Zealand to Squamish, and we’re planning a series of styled elopement shoots to build our local portfolio.
I came across your work and honestly, your combination of hair/makeup AND officiating is incredible — we completely relate because Lana is a photographer and officiant herself. It’s rare to find someone who understands both sides of the ceremony like that.
We’re putting together a collaborative styled shoot at [Shannon Falls / Stawamus Chief / Squamish Spit] in [MONTH] and would love to have you involved for hair and makeup. The concept is [a sunrise hiking elopement up the Chief / a golden-hour waterfront ceremony / etc.]. We already have a model couple lined up, and Lana will be shooting.
Here’s how these work:
- Every vendor contributes their services in exchange for a full gallery of professional images
- All vendors are credited in every use of the images (social media, website, blog submissions)
- We’ll be submitting to wedding publications (Rocky Mountain Bride, Green Wedding Shoes, Junebug) — everyone gets the feature credit
- No one pays anyone — everyone walks away with portfolio content they couldn’t create alone
For context, Lana has been shooting adventure elopements in New Zealand’s mountains for years — you can see her work at [PORTFOLIO URL / INSTAGRAM HANDLE]. We’re bringing that same energy to the Sea-to-Sky corridor.
I’d love to grab a coffee and talk through the concept. Are you free sometime in the next couple of weeks?

3. Florists — The Wild Florists / Flower Factory / Aura Rosa
Subject: Adventure elopement styled shoot — looking for a floral collaborator
Hi [Catherine & Anita / NAME],
I’m Aaron from Adventure Weddings. We specialize in adventure elopements and we’re expanding our operations to Squamish from Queenstown, New Zealand.
We’re planning a styled elopement shoot at [LOCATION] in [MONTH] and are looking for a florist who’d like to collaborate. The concept is [a hiking elopement at Stawamus Chief / a waterfront ceremony at sunset / a rock climbing elopement at Smoke Bluffs] — so we’d need an adventure-friendly bouquet and boutonniere that can survive a hike up a mountain and still look stunning in photos.
[FOR THE WILD FLORISTS: I love that you use locally grown flowers from the Squamish valley — that story of local, seasonal blooms at an adventure ceremony in the mountains they grew in is exactly the kind of narrative our couples connect with.]
This would be a collaborative trade shoot — every vendor contributes their craft and everyone receives the full professional gallery for marketing. We’ll also be submitting the images to wedding publications for features. Lana has an established portfolio from New Zealand that you can see at [PORTFOLIO URL].
If florals for adventure elopements sound like something you’d be into, I’d love to chat about the concept. Happy to come by your studio.
Thanks, Aaron Adventure Weddings | adventureweddings.love
4. Restaurants — Post-Elopement Dinner Partnership
Send to: Salted Vine, Howe Sound Brewing, Collective Kitchen
Subject: Post-elopement dinner partnership — Adventure Weddings
Hi [NAME / Events Manager],
I’m Aaron — I live here in Squamish and I’m launching an adventure elopement business called Adventure Weddings (we already operate in Queenstown, New Zealand, and are expanding to the Sea-to-Sky corridor).
After a day of hiking, exchanging vows at Shannon Falls, and golden hour photos, our couples need one more thing: an incredible dinner to celebrate. That’s where I’m hoping [RESTAURANT] comes in.
I’d love to set up a post-elopement dinner partnership:
- We’d recommend [RESTAURANT] to every Squamish elopement couple as our go-to celebration dinner spot
- For couples who want it, we could set up a semi-private dining experience — maybe a reserved table, a special menu, a bottle of champagne waiting
- We’d feature you on our website and in our planning materials
- In return, we’d appreciate either a small referral arrangement or simply the mutual promotion
Most elopement dinners are 2-6 people, occasionally up to 10-15 for micro-weddings. We could give you advance notice (usually 2-4 weeks).
Would you be open to grabbing a coffee to discuss? I’m right here in town.
Cheers, Aaron Adventure Weddings | adventureweddings.love [PHONE NUMBER]
5. BC Vital Statistics — Officiant Licensing Inquiry
To: VSRELREG@gov.bc.ca Subject: Religious Representative registration inquiry — CIMM, visiting from New Zealand
Dear BC Vital Statistics Registration Team,
I’m writing on behalf of my partner Lana [LAST NAME], who is looking to register as a Religious Representative in British Columbia through the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry (CIMM).
Lana is a New Zealand citizen who will be visiting BC on an IEC Working Holiday Visa, working seasonally (approximately May through September each year) as a wedding photographer and officiant based in Squamish, BC.
We have a few questions about the registration process:
Does the Religious Representative registration under the BC Marriage Act require Canadian citizenship or permanent residency? Or can a person on a valid work visa (IEC Working Holiday) register?
We understand Section 3(2) of the Marriage Act contains a provision for temporary registration of visiting religious representatives. Would this apply to someone who visits BC seasonally for 4-5 months each year?
If temporary registration is available, how long can the registration period be? Can it be renewed annually?
What is the current processing time for new Religious Representative registration through CIMM?
Are there any other requirements we should be aware of beyond the CIMM ordination, training completion, criminal record check, and two references?
Lana would use Aaron Rosenberg’s address in Squamish, BC as her BC address while working in the province.
Thank you for your guidance on this. We want to ensure we follow the correct process.
Best regards, Aaron Rosenberg Adventure Weddings [ADDRESS] [PHONE NUMBER]
6. BC Parks Permit Inquiry (Optional — if you want to call first)
Phone: FrontCounter BC: 1-877-855-3222
Talking points:
- “I’m applying for a Park Use Permit for commercial elopement photography in the Sea to Sky corridor.”
- “I’d like to cover multiple parks in one application — Shannon Falls, Stawamus Chief, Porteau Cove, Brandywine Falls, Alice Lake, Murrin, and Garibaldi.”
- “We’re a small-scale operation — groups of 2-12 people, no structures, no amplified sound, 2-4 hours per event, perhaps 20-30 events per year.”
- “I have $5M commercial general liability insurance. What’s the application process and timeline?”
Follow-Up Template (Use for all vendors after 5-7 days)

Hi [NAME] — just bumping this in case it got buried. No pressure at all, just wanted to make sure you saw it. Would love to collaborate if the timing works.
